My Take on this .......

(Darwins-NIGHTMARE).....I have always found a few grains of truth mixed with hyperimaginationis always a dangerous thing.
My take on this is; why when at a time Tanzania was trying to expand the fish exports and was gaining a foothold did this happen .
Given all the hoola balloo that you go through to export to the EU, this smacks of a plot to discredit our fish!
This is a Guy(Sauper) who was financed partly by EU and other companies.
I dont find it imposssible for there to be a collusion to destroy the credibility of fish coming from Tanzania.
I mean who are the competitors to our fish exports, who has everything to gain? What do youu think happens when the EU consumer starts to like fish from Tz?
Competition in the global economy is a fierce thing and i have seen loads of corporate espionage and sabotage happen in my line of work - while in europe.
It was all about creating a bad perception about fish from Tanzania and that was the motive. To destroy the need for this fish in the EU.
How many fish species exist in L .Victoria ? Why choose only Tilapia?
Sauper couldnt prove his theory of violence in the lake regions by shooting the movie in Rwanda Burundi or East congo where thre was conflict.Instead he chooses a peaceful country , shoots at night bribes all he can get to collaborate .
How much did it cost to do the Film? How much in losses would it cost our Fish exporters over the years if theres no counter marketing done?
The EU consumer will now eye fish from tanzania as tainted as blood-diamonds from sierra leone.
To me Sauper is a nonentity...he waz probably given a script by people who had an agenda............(hehehehe)
Sad as it is we have to rise and counter-market in the EU to destroy the image that the movie has created.
The other option is we also have plenty of other countries that we can sell to.
The EU AND America are SO yesterday in terms of trading and only bite you when they think your getting a good deal.
Dont get me wrong am not a west -hater ,having grown up there.
Africa shud learn to market itself in areas where its strongest comparatively and go- East or S.America or even better trade more in Africa.
Thats where we shall have better terms thats where we have a growing market thats where 2mrw's business is.
We may get capital and funding from the west..... but we are better off trading within ourselves ,the East and S.America.
To all you who want to find out the truth; visit the country talk to the people ..
get the facts.

It feels me with sadness when people attack my country; a country with a record of Peace in Africa.
People who have lived in mwanza know better and most visitors to Tanzania know the truth.
Tanzanians should unite to fight this Injustice.

We in mwanza and Tanzania in general are appallled and shocked by the negative publicity we have got due to this movie.
Is this the thank you we get for being peaceful and trying to compete in the global economy?
I say to all Tanzanians stand firm and be proud of your country.

You can never again trust these wazungu na camera zao.
Let it be known that Tanzanians are proud of their country and shall never be belittled by such a film.
My brohers stand firm and feel proud.
Even in developed countries the beggars eat moulden bread and sniff drugs let alone commit acts of beastiality.
Do we go around making movies about swedes making love to horses or Britons dogging, french doing it with their dogs?
No , its not in our tradition and beneath our culture we are proud to be African ;proud to be Tanzanian

Like you said a little truth with a lot of lies makes the gist of the documentary.
Sad it took long for people in Tanzania to react .
